There has been a lot of talk about the Edna Karr/American Heritage game in the Caesars Superdome, but there is another game featuring two of Louisiana's top teams being played in the stadium Friday.

Archbishop Rummel hosts University Lab in the game prior to Karr/American Heritage as part of a two-game showcase in the Superdome. Last season, Rummel defeated University Lab, 13-7, behind 193 total yards from former quarterback Generald Buggage.

Rummel nearly erased a 10-point deficit against Lafayette Christian last week, but lost 27-26 as a result of a missed extra point. The Raiders have won each game in this series against University dating back to 2015 -- going 5-0.

Thanks to the running game, University Lab beat Woodlawn (Baton Rouge), 49-8, last week and appears to me ready to put last season behind it. Sage Ingram and Corbin Odell combined to run for 211 yards -- giving the Cubs a 1-2 punch at running back.
