There was a shakeup at the top spot in The Sporting News Midwest high school football Top 25, which combines programs from Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas and Nebraska.

Millard South, led by Alabama commit Jett Thomalla, is not only one of the best teams in Nebraska, but the entire Midwest as evidenced its movement to the No. 1 position this week.
While they have a loss on the resume, that came via a forfeit in a game they dominated. The previous No. 1 spot belonged to Loyola Academy out of Illinois, who suffered a loss at the hands of Brother Rice.
Speaking of Brother Rice, they were big movers, jumping from No. 25 to the eighth spot this week.
