The daughter of former NFL standout running back Adrian Peterson is showing that his athleticism has been passed down the family lineage. Ari Peterson is one of the top girls basketball prospects in the Class of 2028.

Peterson, who is currently a sophomore Minnetonka High School in Minnesota, is being courted by several Division I programs including the in-state Golden Gophers. She helped the Skippers win 16 games last year after transferring from Providence Academy.

Standing 6-foot-2, Peterson holds offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Arizona, Florida, Michigan and several others. She has unofficial visits set for Minnesota, Maryland and Ohio State this coming year.
Peterson is ranked in the espnW "Terrific 25" for 2028, checking in at No. 20 overall.
Her father, Adrian Peterson, played 15 seasons in the NFL after a standout career at Oklahoma. He was the Heisman Trophy runner-up and ran for over 1,900 yards as a freshman.
Peterson finished his collegiate career third on the career rushing yardage list at Oklahoma and was selected seventh overall by the Minnesota Vikings. He was tabbed NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and named MVP of the Pro Bowl.
Over the course of his career, the Texas native played for the Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks. He was a two-time NFL rushing touchdowns leader, three-time NFL rushing yards leader and made the NFL 2010s All-Decade team.
