ABOUT HERITAGE
The Mountaineers finished last season 5-5 but went into the offseason on a high note after rolling past Clinton, 61-13. One player to watch for Heritage is Dylan Burgess, a senior receiver who had nearly 400 yards of receiving and a TD his junior year.
ABOUT CLINTON
Though the Dragons were defeated by Heritage in the regular-season finale, they still qualified for postseason play. But their playoff experience was short lived with a first-round loss in the 5A round to McMinn County. As a sophomore last season, quarterback Jaylon Benjamin threw for 1,778 yards and 19 TDs.
