It was another week in Oklahoma high school football full of key performers making an impact for their respective squads.
Here’s a look at those top individual performances from Week 2. Also, readers can now vote on who they think should be the Oklahoma Player of the Week. Vote as many times as you like until 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, and the winner will be announced next week.
Top performances from Week 2 in Oklahoma high school football
Creighton Allen, Oklahoma Christian School: The senior quarterback was 10-of-12 for 234 yards and three TDs as the Saints defeated Crossings Christian, 48-0.
Beau Bayouth, Edmond Memorial: A senior defensive back, Bayouth picked off three passes in the Bulldogs’ 35-18 win against crosstown rival Edmond North. He also had four tackles and broke up a pass.
Baylor Bond, Dickson: A junior quarterback, Bond threw for 389 yards on 16-of-20 attempts and six TDs in Dickson’s 54-20 win against Madill.
Bo Browning, Luther: Browning, a junior, rushed for 160 yards on 17 carries and a TD in the Lions’ 34-14 win against Perry. He also recorded 12 tackles on defense, three for loss.
Teaguen Collins, Muldrow: Collins passed for 107 yards and a TD while rushing for 157 yards on nine carries and three TDs in the Bulldogs’ 46-22 win against Waldron, Ark. He also made nine tackles and recovered a fumble.
Josiah Dickerson, Washington: Dickerson rushed for 148 yards on 11 carries and had three TDs, part of a 304-yard performance on the ground from the Warriors as they claimed the “War on 74” against Purcell, winning 42-25. Dickerson also caught a 64-yard pass for another TD.
Kincayde Eng, Metro Christian: The Patriots’ senior quarterback threw for exactly 300 yards on 18-of-30 passing and a TD, along with rushing for three more TDs, in a 41-14 win at Cascia Hall.
Kane Foreman, Pawhuska: A senior QB, Foreman was 21-of-27 passing for 355 yards and five TDs as the Huskies downed Hominy, 44-27.
Maverick Gardner, Moore: A senior quarterback, Gardner was 18-of-26 passing for 187 yards and a TD while adding 143 yards on 12 carries and a score in the Lions’ 28-20 win against crosstown rival Southmoore.
Brayden Hardwick, Pocola: The Indians’ senior receiver caught three passes for 110 yards and two TDs, picked off a pass on defense and also returned two punts for TDs in a 72-12 win against Spiro.
Nash Harman, Cyril: Harman, a senior, ran for 230 yards and four TDs, passed for two TDs and returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a TD in the Pirates’ 52-6 win against Empire.
Brock Heilmann, Coweta: Heilmann had 318 all-purpose yards, 282 of that on the ground along with three total TDs in the Tigers’ 44-20 win against Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside.
Landon Kizzar, Jenks: The Trojans’ junior quarterback was 15-of-20 passing for 287 yards and four TDs as Jenks claimed the “Backyard Bowl” with a 48-30 win against Tulsa Union.
Remington Laughlin, Mangum: Laughlin rushed for 120 yards on 11 carries and four TDs and added 72 yards passing with a TD in his team’s 65-16 win against Hobart.
Delijah Matthews, Midwest City Carl Albert: Matthews rushed for 168 yards and four TDs as the Titans defeated Lawton Eisenhower, 57-0.
Maddax Mobly, Sulphur: Mobly rushed for 131 yards on 14 carries and two TDs and also had 13 tackles on defense in the Bulldogs’ 34-14 win at Davis.
Jattairrius Neal, Broken Bow: Neal rushed for 159 yards on 15 carries and two TDs and caught three passes for 86 yards and a TD as the Savages claimed the “Little River Rivalry” with a 49-14 win at Idabel.
Gavin Randolph, Central Sallisaw: Randolph caught seven passes for 178 yards and scored three TDs in the Tigers’ 32-30 win against Warner.
Carter Ricke, Lincoln Christian: Ricke, a senior quarterback, completed 19-of-25 passes while throwing for 303 yards and four total TDs - three rushing - in the Bulldogs’ 41-33 win at Shiloh Christian (Ark.). He also punted twice, averaging 43.5 yards.
Octavian Roberson, Broken Arrow: Roberson, a junior tailback, rushed for 149 yards on 28 carries, including a 45-yard TD as the Tigers held off Mustang, 21-14.
Joshua Rushing, Lawton MacArthur: Rushing caught six passes for 173 yards and three TDs in the Highlanders’ 46-6 win against Lawton High. With the Highlanders’ earlier win against Lawton Eisenhower, MacArthur claimed the city championship in Lawton.
Alec Shumard, Newcastle: Shumard, a junior, caught seven passes for 122 yards and two TDs while returning an interception for another TD in the Racers’ 63-40 win against Blanchard.
Jordan Smith, Berryhill: Smith, a junior receiver/defensive back, caught seven passes for 109 yards and a TD and added a 64-yard pick-six in the Chiefs’ 31-8 win against Bristow.
CJ Turnbull, Putnam City: The Pirates’ senior QB threw for 281 yards and six TDs on 12-of-15 passing in a 56-14 win against Putnam City North. He also rushed for 137 yards on 14 carries and two more TDs.
Kaidis Vick, Oklahoma City Douglass: Just a sophomore, Vick had two rushing TDs while notching 11 tackles and three sacks in the Trojans’ 22-10 win in the “Soul Bowl” against crosstown rival Millwood. Douglass beat Millwood for the first time in the “Soul Bowl” since 2015.
Braden Ward, Pryor: The Tigers’ quarterback completed 13-of-18 passes for 301 yards and five TDs - all in the first half - in Pryor’s 57-0 win against Glenpool.
Callan Whitnah, Harrah: A sophomore quarterback, Whitnah threw for 136 yards and five TDs while adding 134 yards and another TD in his team’s 49-0 win against Western Heights.
Carmello Williamson, Oaks: Williamson, a senior running back, rushed for 307 yards on 23 carries and six TDs, while adding another TD on a punt return, in the Warriors’ 50-0 win against Cave Springs.
Julius Wilson, Owasso: A senior receiver, Wilson had six receptions for 171 yards and two TDs as the Rams finally got their first win, beating Sand Springs 45-17.
Cash Worley, Kiefer: The Trojans’ quarterback passed for 99 yards and added 114 yards rushing with three TDs, including scoring the game-winning TD from 6 yards out with 47 seconds left as Kiefer rallied from a 29-8 deficit to defeat Vian, 30-29.
