Indiana has gotten this far without star point guard Caitlin Clark, who has been sidelined since mid-July with a groin injury. Clark’s absence has headlined what’s been an injury-riddled season for Indiana, but the Fever have managed to push through the adversity.

As Indiana looks to keep its playoff run alive, it will have to continue finding ways to win without Clark against the league’s top teams. Here’s a look at how the Fever have fared without their point guard during the 2025 season.

Fever record without Caitlin Clark

During the 2025 season, the Fever posted a 19-16 record without Caitlin Clark, compared to 8-5 when she was on the court. Since Clark’s latest injury in mid-July, Indiana closed the regular season with a 12-10 record before eliminating the Atlanta Dream, 2-1, in the opening round of the playoffs.

To open the semifinals, Indiana stole home court from Las Vegas in Game 1 on Sunday but the Aces evened the series at 1-1 on Tuesday night. Overall, the Fever were 16-15 in the regular season without Clark, and are now 3-2 in postseason games without her.

What is Caitlin Clark's injury?

Caitlin Clark has a right groin injury that has forced her to miss Indiana's last 26 games. The injury occurred late in the Fever's game on July 15 against the Connecticut Sun and is Clark's second groin injury of the season.

Indiana never officially revealed the diagnosis for Clark's injury as the point guard rehabbed throughout the year. The injury was also Clark's third this year, as she's dealt with two groin injuries and one quadriceps injury in her second professional season.

Will Caitlin Clark play again this year?

On Sept. 4, Clark announced on social media that she would not be able to return to the court this season.

"I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling," she wrote. "I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty."

Clark missed 31 games in the regular season along with the first four games of the playoffs thus far, a number that will continue tospo increase as the Fever advance further in the WNBA playoffs.
