Her absence is a major blow for New York, as Ionescu has been one of the most important pieces of the Liberty offense. Known for her outside shooting and ability to create for teammates, she has consistently given defenses problems all season.

She has played 35 games this season and is scoring 19 points per game, along with 5.3 assists. Ionescu has scored double digits in every game this month with the exception of August 5 against Dallas.

Atlanta comes into the contest looking to capitalize, as the Dream sit in a competitive playoff race.  The Dream are 23-13, while the Liberty are 22-14 on the season.
