The New York Liberty will be without its floor leader today. Guard Sabrina Ionescu has been ruled out of the matchup against the Atlanta Dream due to a left foot injury.

Liberty lose star guard before key matchup
Her absence is a major blow for New York, as Ionescu has been one of the most important pieces of the Liberty offense. Known for her outside shooting and ability to create for teammates, she has consistently given defenses problems all season.
She has played 35 games this season and is scoring 19 points per game, along with 5.3 assists. Ionescu has scored double digits in every game this month with the exception of August 5 against Dallas.

The Liberty will now have to adjust its game plan without her presence on the court. Depth at the guard spot becomes crucial, with other backcourt players expected to see increased minutes and responsibilities.
Atlanta comes into the contest looking to capitalize, as the Dream sit in a competitive playoff race. The Dream are 23-13, while the Liberty are 22-14 on the season.
