With the regular season winding down, two of the league's top teams will go head-to-head Friday as the Lynx travel to Indiana to take on the Fever.
The Fever have had a tough stretch of injuries this season. First, superstar guard Caitlin Clark went down with a groin injury that has kept her sidelined for a month. Now, guard Sophie Cunningham will miss the remainder of the year after suffering an MCL tear during Sunday's game against the Sun.
The franchise hopes to have Clark back before the end of the regular season but will surely have to fight extra hard for a playoff spot.
Meanwhile, the Lynx are sitting atop the Western Conference with a streak of six wins under their belt. Despite going without star Napheesa Collier, Minnesota is still poised to make a playoff run as a top seed, and could possibly avenge their 2024 Finals loss.
