The New Zealand Warriors have secured rising star Braelan Marsh on a three-year deal, ensuring the promising young hooker remains at the club until at least the end of the 2028 season.
The 18-year-old is the son of former NRL dummy-half PJ Marsh, making him the Warriors’ third player to follow in the footsteps of a father who once donned the club’s colours, joining the ranks of Jett Cleary and newly signed Haizyn Mellars.
PJ Marsh spent two seasons with the Warriors, making 35 appearances and crossing for five tries during his time at the club.
Marsh is expected to make his mark in both the Under-19s SG Ball Cup and Under-21s Jersey Flegg Cup competitions next season as he settles into the Warriors’ development pathways.

The teenager playmaker played for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Mal Meninga Cup, where he was named the side’s Player of the Year in 2025.
The former Under-17 Queensland Country representative demonstrated his attacking flair by scoring four tries across 11 appearances for the Dolphins’ pathways side.
Andrew McFadden, the Warriors’ general manager of recruitment, development, and pathways, shared how Marsh’s signing was a particularly special story for the club.
“It's a great story for us being able to bring sons of former players to the club their fathers played for in their careers,” McFadden stated.
“PJ loves the club and reached out to us about Braelan. He's had a fantastic season in the Mal Meninga Cup and will bring lots of upside for us.”
