India's red-ball skipper and T20I vice-captain, Shubman Gill, is expected to be fully fit in the coming week, ahead of the Asia Cup in September. Gill suffered from a viral flu, which reportedly forced him out of the Duleep Trophy.

Doubts were raised over Gill's condition after reports emerged that the batter was unwell. The physios reportedly examined Gill on August 22, and his health report was submitted to BCCI as he continued to rest and recover at his home in Chandigarh.

Gill to be fit and available for the Asia Cup

Shubman Gill, the Indian vice-captain, is on his road to recovery after suffering from viral flu. As per reports from TOI, nothing is alarming in his blood report, and the star batter will be back in action very soon.

Gill, who is currently in Mohali, is expected to check in at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in the next couple of days, as he will start his preparations for the big Asia Cup.
