It is not necessarily a title decider, but we're closing in on the crucial encounter taking place at the Emirates Stadium this weekend as Arsenal welcome Manchester City to north London.
Arsenal have collected nine points from their opening four matches (losing only to Liverpool), whilst City got themselves back on track after back-to-back losses before the international break by beating rivals Manchester United 3-0 in the derby last weekend.
Arsenal took care of Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League on Tuesday, before Erling Haaland scored again as City beat reigning Serie A champions Napoli.

Who is the favourite to win, Arsenal or Man City?
Having thumped City 5-1 at the Emirates last season, Arsenal head into the clash as the slight favourites this weekend, priced up at best odds of 20/21 with AK Bets. They showed their defensive strength again in Bilbao on Tuesday night - the Gunners have conceded just once this season, a near 35-yard free kick from Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai. However, City look to be clicking into gear too - they followed last Sunday's Manchester derby win by beating Napoli 2-0.
Arsenal vs. Man City head to head
In the 213 meetings that there have been between these two sides, Arsenal have come out on top with 101 victories as opposed to City, who have only beaten the Gunners on 65 occasions.
However, between November 2017 and April 2023, it was one of the most one-sided rivalries in England with City winning 16 out of 17 matches during that run.
Arsenal are unbeaten in five games across all competitions since then, though, with a 5-1 demolition of City at the Emirates back in February the most recent outing.

Arsenal vs. Man City prediction
Arsenal have been maturing and building over recent seasons under Mikel Arteta. The only concern would be that an edge is just missing as they seek to go from also-rans to reclaiming the Premier League title for the first time in over 20 years.
There is evident vulnerability in this City side and even in victory over United last weekend, the very early stages of the game showed them to be susceptible. It's also hard to make too much of a judgement based on their win over Napoli given the visitors were reduced to 10 men after just 21 minutes.
Arsenal will believe they have a bit more quality and efficiency than United (and even Napoli) in the final third and - should similar opportunities and openings present themselves to the Gunners - they will be confident of punishing City, especially at home.
