It has been a whirlwind 24 hours in the Eberechi Eze transfer saga and questions remain as to what will unfold in the coming hours.
The Crystal Palace star looked to be on his way to Tottenham Hotspur for a deal around £60m earlier this week.
However, arch-rivals Arsenal swooped in on Wednesday evening to make their move for the player.
Due to Eze's preference being to join Mikel Arteta's side, the player is set to join the red half of North London, as an agreement was found between Crystal Palace and Arsenal.
The deal to take the 27-year-old attacker across the capital is worth an initial £60m, with the fee potentially rising to £67.5m in add-ons.
Arsenal held interest in Eze earlier on in the summer transfer window, but a move never materialised for the England international then as the club were intent on selling players first.
The club were forced into the transfer market this week after forward Kai Havertz got injured in The Gunners' Premier League opening win over Manchester United.

Will Eze feature for Crystal Palace again?
With Eze's move to Arsenal being imminent, questions have arisen over the player's availability for Crystal Palace's first-leg Conference League play-off tie with Fredrikstad.
Oliver Glasner's men take on the Norwegian side on Thursday night (August 21) at Selhurst Park.
Before the news of Eze's departure broke on Wednesday evening, the Crystal Palace boss addressed whether the Arsenal-bound player would be involved against Fredrikstad due to the speculation around his future.
"It’s always the right of a club and the duty of a player to give 100 per cent as long as he is under contract," Glasner said in his pre-match press conference. "I think many of you were surprised that Ebs started and played almost the whole game (against Chelsea this past weekend)."
The German then confirmed that Eze and Marc Guehi, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, will play right from the off on Thursday.
"Most of you will be surprised that they will start again (against Fredrikstad), because of all the rumours. But again, they are committed. They are committed to the team."
Glasner touched on why it is right for players to be involved despite having uncertain futures at the club.
"They (Eze and Guehi) want to leave as players who always gave 100 per cent for Crystal Palace. This is what they did since they signed, and this is what we expect from them until the end of their contract, whenever this is."
Full confirmation over whether Eze will start against Fredrikstad will come when the official line-ups for the match are released on Thursday evening.
The upcoming game at Selhurst Park will allow Eze the chance to say goodbye to the Crystal Palace supporters ahead of his transfer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 27-year-old will then have his medical at Arsenal on Friday (August 22).
