Tottenham are expected to be busy in the final days of the summer transfer window after falling short in the race to sign Eberechi Eze.
Eze opted to join arch rivals Arsenal from Crystal Palace and Thomas Frank is now exploring other options before the Premier League deadline of September 1.
Despite the frustration over Eze, Spurs have enjoyed a strong start to the new season, with back-to-back top-flight wins including a superb 2-0 victory on the road at Manchester City last weekend.
Frank's message has been clear, the Dane does not want players (current or new) who do not want to play for Spurs, and major changes are on the cards in the next week.
Mohamed Kudus has been the big-name summer arrival, but Frank wants more attacking creativity, and Como playmaker Nico Paz is on his radar.
Paz joined Serie A side Como last summer from Real Madrid, and the Argentina international netted six goals in his debut campaign in the Italian top-flight, with Spurs just one of the clubs tracking his progress.

Los Blancos opted against activating a buy-back clause they have on the 20-year-old back in June, but that option is renewed again in 2026 and 2027, as per the terms of his exit from Madrid.
Xabi Alonso's team also have a 50% sell-on clause, with Tottenham rumoured to be prepared to offer around £35m, and that will impact Como's willingness to sell.

As per Sky Sports Italia, Spurs could increase their offer to £43m, but they will not match Como's rumoured £60m demand before the window shuts.
Paz enjoyed a superb return to action, as Como beat Lazio 2-0 in their first game of 2025/26, with their No.10 registering a goal and an assist.
However, Fabregas' post-match message indicates he will not sanction a sale, due to Paz's importance in his plans.
"I’m very calm and relaxed, Nico is very happy here at Como. He’s a top, top player."
Who is Tottenham target Nico Paz?
Tottenham will not give up in their quest to sign Paz, but Frank is against the clock, and chairman Daniel Levy has a reputation for not increasing transfer offers.

Real are happy with Páz staying at Como this season but his move to Madrid in summer 2026 is increasingly likely.
He’s expected to join Real next season.

Spurs fans excited by the prospect of Paz, who wears and plays like a No.10, and he could be an ideal replacement for the injured James Maddison.
As Fabregas guided Como to 10th in their debut Serie A season in 2024/25, Paz stood out, winning the Serie A Best U23 player award and being named in the official team of the season
Eight assists saw him finish fourth on the Serie A list and he was third for shots on target [37] and second for through balls played [15].
He also finished No.1 in three attacking metrics in his debut year in goal-creating actions [16], shot-creating actions [144] and successful take-ons [69].
