Ciara felt the love on Mother’s Day — and not just from her kids.
The Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram Sunday, May 11, to share a sweet tribute from her husband, New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson, who surprised her with a full red carpet setup and an over-the-top “mama” themed photo backdrop featuring family portraits and balloons.
“Thank you @DangeRussWilson and my precious babies for rolling out the red carpet for me and making me feel extra special today,” Ciara wrote along with the video montage, which shows Wilson narrating each family member as they strike poses on the red carpet. “I feel so blessed and loved! Happy Mother’s Day to all the ‘Mommy’s out there! #MothersDay.”
The clip quickly racked up up more than 240,000 likes in less than 24 hours. Fans and followers filled the comments with love for the family — and admiration for Wilson’s thoughtful effort.
“When a man loves you properly…it flows throughout the home,” one person wrote. Another added, “The effort he put into everything dealing with Ciara — I love it.”
Ciara, 39, and Wilson, 36 have four children, and they’ve long been known for documenting life’s milestones, as well as the more glamorous side of things such as Ciara’s recent appearance at the Met Gala. But this simple, joyful moment had followers especially emotional — and maybe some a little envious.
