One thing about Boston fans, they will not let you insult their team.

Some Boston radio hosts were not happy with Bill Belichick's recent comments comparing the New England Patriots to his new gig as the new UNC-Chapel Hill head football coach.

Belichick, who was the head coach of the Patriots for 24 seasons, told the Boston Globe that UNC has a "much more cohesive" team than when he was in New England and that he had the most success with the Patriots when he had "fewer people and more of a direct vision."

Boston radio hosts,  Tony Massarotti and Mike Felger of 98.5 The Sports Hub, did not take too kindly to Belichick's remarks.

"The guy is a raging a-hole. He's an a**. He always has been an a**,'" Massarotti said on Felger and Mazz, via Awful Announcing. "He's a great football coach. He knew what to do with Tom Brady. But he's an ***. Just the need to still throw people under the bus, to be completely oblivious to the realities of why they won … there's no accountability, there's no real self-reflection there."

Felger didn't hold back as he called the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach "arrogant," "horny," and "delusional," to name a few.

"If he can look like this delusional, obstinate, completely arrogant, out of his mind, horny, old, half-nuts, old man and go 10-1 and go to the NCAA playoffs, that's a cool story," Felger said. "I'll take that story."

Belichick was appointed to his new role in December 2024. The six-time Super Bowl-winning coach with the Patriots said his role at UNC is a "dream come true."

"It just never really worked out," Belichick said in a statement back in December on why he didn't coach college sooner. "Had some good years in the NFL, so that was OK, but this is a dream come true. I grew up in college football with my dad. As a kid, all I knew was college football."

Belichick's first game with UNC will be on September 1, against the TCU Horned Frogs.
