Peacock is continuing to change the game in sports streaming.

How, you ask? Well, NBC Sports just kicked off their 20th season of “Sunday Night Football,” and in a first for any NFL streamer, Peacock will be streaming weekly regular season SNF games in  Dolby Atmos immersive audio on supported devices. Thursday night's matchup featured the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Dallas Cowboys, and this announcement follows a dominant 2024 as NBC Sunday Night Football delivered its most-watched season since 2015 and ranked as primetime’s #1 show for an unprecedented 14th consecutive year. In addition, SNF had its most-streamed season ever, led by Peacock.

“NFL fans are some of the most passionate in the world, and they deserve an unmatched streaming experience that reflects their enthusiasm for the sport,” said John Couling, SVP, Entertainment, Dolby Laboratories, in a statement. “Peacock is the leader in live streaming because we’ve been focused since day one on providing our customers with an innovative, high-quality viewing experience that pushes the industry forward,” added Patrick Miceli, Chief Technology Officer, Global Streaming & NBCUniversal Media Group.

Peacock’s expansive live sports offering features the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Sunday Night Football, Big Ten football and basketball, BIG EAST men’s and women’s basketball, Big 12 men’s basketball, Notre Dame Football, the NBA beginning in 2025-26, the WNBA beginning in 2026, Premier League, La Copa Mundial de la FIFA 2026, motorsports, and much more.

To amplify its live sports streaming experience, Peacock continues to innovate with new viewing features, including Multiview, interactive Prediction Games, Live Actions, Live in Browse and Catch Up With Key Plays for fans joining late. The platform will also introduce new features for the NBA, including Peacock Performance View, Peacock ScoreCard and Courtside Live.

These viewer enhancements are supported by ongoing technical investments to maintain best-in-class performance, security and reliability.
