Joey Chestnut is back to reclaim his throne.

A year after he was banned for signing a sponsorship deal with vegan food producer Impossible Foods, the 16-time Mustard Belt winner announced his return to the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.

The annual event will once again be held on July 4 at Coney Island. It features a lot of returning faces, including 10-time women's champion Miki Sudo.

Other contestants include 2024 men's winner Patrick Bertoletti as well as Geoffrey Esper, James Webb and Nick Wehry.

What time is the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest?

  • Women's contest: 10:45 a.m. ET
  • Men's contest: Noon ET

The 2025 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest gets underway on Friday, July 4, at 10:45 a.m. ET with the women's competition. The men's competition will begin at noon ET.

What channel is Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on?

  • TV channel: ESPN2 (men's), ESPN3 (women's)
  • Live stream: Fubo, ESPN+

Broadcast coverage of the 2025 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest will air live on ESPN2 and ESPN3. The men's competition will be on ESPN2, while the women's will be on ESPN3.

Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest past winners

Patrick Bertoletti won the men's title in 2025 with Chestnut out of the lineup. He ate 58 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.

Miki Sudo once again won on the women's side (her 10th title since 2015) with 51 hot dogs and buns. That number also broke her personal best.
