The Kansas State High School Activities Association has released rankings for the prep football season, which kicked off last week in the state.

Earning preseason No. 1 rankings are Manhattan in Class 6A, St. Thomas Aquinas in 5A, Kapaun Mt. Carmel in 4A, Andale in 3A, Southeast of Saline in 2A, Conway Springs in 1A, South Central in eight-player Division I, Axtell in eight-player Division II and Weskan in six-player.
