When you see a final score that includes one team having reached triple digits, you expect it to come from a high school basketball game. But not in Kansas high school football.

This past week, Andale High School put the scoreboard operators to work, rolling past El Dorado High School, 104-0. Yes, you read that correct. Andale scored 104 points in a regulation high school football game.

Andale, the defending Class 3A Kansas high school football state champions, led by 40 points before the first quarter ended. They reached the end zone less than two minutes into the contest.

By halftime, the score was 80-0 already in favor of the Indians, as this was the season opener for both. Andale pushed its current win streak to 14 games dating back to last year, as they have now outscored El Dorado 199-26 since 2022.

The Indians finished with 417 total yards of offense, allowing just 68. Quarterback Sam Harp had a hand in four consecutive touchdowns in the first half, running for three and throwing for the fourth.

It was a balanced effort, as five different players scored five touchdowns in the second quarter for Andale. Dylan Schmidt has been the head coach since 2017, losing just four games in his career with the school.

Winning has become the norm for the Indians, as they had a 57-game win streak and captured four consecutive state titles prior to going 10-2 in 2023.

And no, that is not the most points in a game in Kansas high school football. That record belongs to Haven High School, as they downed Sylvia High School back in 1927, 256-0, to set a national high school football single-game points record. Elvin McCoy had 13 touchdowns in that game as they set a national record for most touchdowns with 38.

Up next for Andale will be Wellington, a 31-13 winner in its season opener last week.
