National Week 3 high school football scores: complete results for teams ranked in weekly composite rankings image

The National Week 3 schedule features a couple of Top 25 matchups, including our game of the week featuring No. 14 Thompson [AL] at No. 16 Grayson [GA}.

The National Week 3 high school football schedule featured some great games, and the action continued into early Sunday morning for most of the country.

Out in Hawaii, the No. 2 Bishop Gorman [Las Vegas, NV] Gaels took care of business in a 38-0 win over the Kahuku [HI] Red Raiders. That was the final piece of a Top 25 puzzle that included the No. 7 Grayson [Loganville, GA] Rams' heart-stopping 24-23 win over the No. 14 Thompson [Alabaster, AL] Warriors in overtime Friday evening in The Sporting News High School Football Game of the Week.

Grayson's big win marked the second straight year that the game went to extra time to settle the outcome. Last year, the Rams won 15-14 with a 2-point conversion in extra time, but this time they got the win by stopping Thompson's 2-point conversion attempt.

Prior to that game on Thursday, a trio of teams ranked in our weekly composite rankings played in the Battle at the Beach in Ocean City, New Jersey. In an afternoon contest in that event, the No. 13 Bergen Catholic [Oradell, NJ] Crusaders blocked a punt for a touchdown late to rally for a 22-21 win over the No. 18 East St. Louis [IL] Flyers.

Then in the evening finale, the No. 5 IMG Academy [Bradenton, FL] Ascenders overcame a stubborn unranked Winslow Township [Atco, NJ] Eagles' squad for a 35-14 win.

Check out additional Week 3 results from the teams ranked in our composite rankings by scrolling down below. And then check back in later this week when we get the Week 4 schedule posted and following along Thursday, Friday and Saturday as the results continue to roll in!
